Chess players are invited to practice their strategies and share tips with others at special Chess Days @ the Library at two locations in the Fort Bend County library system this fall.
The Cinco Ranch Branch Library will have Chess Day @ the Library on Saturday, October 5, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, in the Multipurpose Room of the library.
Chess players of all skill levels – from beginners to advanced – are invited to practice their strategies and share tips with others during this monthly come-and-go event. Learn a new chess move (or two)! A limited number of chess sets will be provided, but players are welcome to bring their own sets as well. This program is for players age 7 to adult. Materials are made possible by the Friends of the Cinco Ranch Branch Library. Registration is not required.
George Memorial Library (Richmond) will have a Chess Day on Saturday, October 19, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm, in Room 2B of the library.
Teens and adults of all skill levels – from beginners to advanced – who are interested in playing chess, are invited to practice their strategies while playing against others in a relaxed, stress-free environment. Learn a new chess move (or two)! A limited number of chess sets will be provided, but players are welcome to bring their own sets as well. Registration required; click here to register.
