Discover Virtual Youth Programs & Educational Resources in FBCL Facebook Group Page

Fort Bend County Libraries has a special Facebook Group page specifically for families with young children! The “FBCL Virtual Programs & Educational Resources” Facebook Group page is a one-stop online platform providing information on FBCL’s educational resources as well as timely and easy access to the virtual youth programs that FBCL offers.

Age-appropriate stories, songs, and puppet shows are featured in the Mother Goose Time, Toddler Time, and Pre-school Story Time videos.

Mother Goose Time provides caregiver/infant multisensory circle-time activities -- including simple sign language, folksongs and lullabies, and fingerplays -- that are especially designed to stimulate babies’ social, emotional, and physical development through rhythm and music.

Toddler Time offers caregiver/child activities, stories, and songs for older babies, from 12 to 36 months of age. (*)

Pre-school Story Time provides stories, movies, and age-appropriate craft activities for children, 3 to 6 years of age. (*)

(*) Families of toddlers and preschoolers may pick up to-go activity packets from the libraries for the month. These packets contain fun craft activities that can be done at home. Call the libraries to request to pick up the packets through the Curbside Pick-Up service.

After-School Breaks – designed for school-aged children in grades 1 through 5 -- include crafts, stories, book talks, and STEAM-related activities.

Middle School Programs include activities and book talks specially designed for students in grades 6 through 8.

The “FBCL Virtual Programs & Educational Resources” Facebook Group page is also an online platform for virtual Family Programs, which are special online events that the whole family will enjoy.

To join the group, Facebook users can go to the Fort Bend County Libraries Facebook page (or any of the individual FBCL branch Facebook pages), click on the “Groups” tab, select the “FBCL Virtual Programs & Educational Resources” group, and click on the “Join Group” button.
