Checked out items and Returning items

If you have items checked out, the check-out period has been extended to June 1, and there will be no fines assessed while the library system is closed. If you have returned items, we are not checking items in right now. Therefore, items you have returned will still show on your record. Once we can begin the work of processing these materials, they will be cleared from your record. Again, no fines will be assessed no matter what day the library starts to check-in items.

Holds

If you received a notice that a hold was ready for pickup but did not have a chance to come by, rest assured that these items will be available for a period of time when the library reopens.     Since there is no way for the Library to fill hold requests, the ability to place a hold has been temporarily removed from the catalog. It will be restored as soon as the Library reopens for business.

InterLibrary Loans (ILL)

The service that Fort Bend County Libraries uses for InterLibrary loans has suspended service, so just as holds, no ILL requests can be filled until ILL service is reactivated.

Library cards

While the Library is closed, applications for new library cards are suspended. Please monitor our website for reopening information as public health conditions improve for Fort Bend County.   If you have forgotten your library card password, click on the following link to reset it Reset Password Link: https://catalog.fortbend.lib.tx.us/polaris/logon.aspx?forgotPassword=1
