Fort Bend County Libraries Host Holiday Open Houses & Performances

Families with children of all ages are invited to relax, unwind, and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the holidays with music, refreshments, and fun at our holiday open houses!
Special, festive activities are planned at several FBCL locations. Books on holiday entertaining, decorating, and cooking will be available for check out, along with seasonal music and movies. WED, DEC 7

Missouri City Branch Library, 1:00 to 4:00 pm, Meeting Room.
Violinists from the Houston Youth Symphony Coda Music Program will perform holiday music from 1:00 to 1:20 pm, and families are invited to stay for refreshments


SAT, DEC 10 

George Memorial Library (Richmond) “Winterfest,” 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, Meeting Room.
The Second Street Brass ensemble will perform a selection of holiday music from 10:30 to 11:30 am, during this Holiday Open House. Take photos at a wintery photo booth and enjoy cookies and beverages while celebrating the holidays.

First Colony Branch Library, 2:00 to 4:00 pm, Meeting Room.
The Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra will perform holiday music from 2:30 to 3:00 pm, and families are invited to stay for crafts, games, refreshments, and more! This program is made possible by the Friends of the First Colony Branch Library.


SAT, DEC 17 

University Branch Library, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, Meeting Room 1.
Music, refreshments, and craft activities will be available for all to enjoy as they catch the holiday spirit. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the University Branch Library.


WED, DEC 21

Sugar Land Branch Library, “Winter Wonderland,” 2:00 to 3:00 pm, Meeting Room.
Families with children of all ages are invited to a winter-themed event featuring crafts, games, face-painting, and more!
