Libraries’ Virtual Job-Hunting Resources Can Be Accessed from Home

June/July 2021

Searching for a job can be difficult and stressful. Fort Bend County Libraries offers a variety of job-hunting and career-assistance tools and resources that are available online and can be accessed 24/7 with an FBCL library card from the comfort of home. These free resources can help job seekers create a better resumé, improve their job skills, research job opportunities and careers, and much more.

FBCL librarians have created some how-to videos that demonstrate how to use these resources. These videos, as well as many other helpful online tutorials, are available on FBCL’s YouTube channel. A library card is not required to view these video tutorials.

These video tutorials are examples of just a few of FBCL’s online resources that are available for job-hunters or anyone wanting to research companies or careers. Click on our databases tab, then select “Career & Job Help” on the left-hand tool bar, and click “apply.” This will limit your results to those databases specifically helpful for job hunters.

Librarian assistance is also available by phone, email, or online chat.
