Are you looking for a job or considering a career change?  You can pound the pavement with all the other job-hunters, or you can begin your search with a little preliminary legwork at the library. Fort Bend County Libraries offers a variety of job-search resources, and several of our libraries are having some great workshops this month for job-hunters. Get advice from experts and explore our job-search resources that provide assistance on everything from creating a fantastic resumé to accessing area job lists – all in one place.

Zoom for Beginners
Mission Bend Branch Library – 4:00-5:00 pm, Computer Lab. Zoom Video Communications is a cloud-based videoconferencing platform that can be used through a computer desktop or mobile app for virtual meetings and webinars or personal chats with friends and family. In this class, participants will learn how to join or schedule a Zoom session and how to use various controls during a session. YA: Mock Interviews & How to Prepare for the Real Deal
Sienna Branch Library – 4:00-5:00 pm, Conference Room 2A. This Young Adult program is for teens in grades 9 through 12. Teens will prepare for entering the job market by getting tips for the interview. Learn about common interview questions, the best answers, and interview dos and don’ts. Discover ways to portray confidence and get the job! Registration is NOT required.

First Colony Branch Library – 2:00-3:00 pm, Meeting Room. Learn about Udemy -- FBCL’s newest online resource for adults who want to improve work-related skills or further develop a personal interest. Users can search through more than 4,000 continuously updated, on-demand video courses across 75 categories in business, technology, design, and more. All courses in this online resource are taught by world-class instructors and offer a tailor-made learning experience for those who want to learn new technologies and skills to stay competitive in a changing workforce.
