Learn to East-Coast Swing Dance at Sugar Land Branch Library

Fort Bend County Libraries’ Sugar Land Branch Library will present East-Coast Swing Dance Lessons” on Thursdays, November 7, 14, and 21, at 7:30 - 8:40 pm in the Meeting Room of the library located at 550 Eldridge Road in Sugar Land.

Local dance instructors Loy and Bernardine Farmer will provide a basic introduction to East-Coast Swing, a single-step, fast-paced dance, also known as the jitterbug. This dance style requires one partner to keep to the rhythm of the music, while guiding the other partner in the moves. Learn basic steps, as well as how to complete both inside and outside turns. Each class builds upon skills learned in earlier classes, so attendance at all sessions is encouraged. A partner is not required; singles will be paired together.
