Learning English? Get Practice at FBCL’s ESL Conversation Circles

Are you learning to speak English? Would you like some practice in a casual, informal atmosphere? Fort Bend County Libraries presents a program for individuals of all nationalities who would like a place to practice their English language and conversation skills. The “ESL Conversation Circles” provide an opportunity for non-English-speaking people to gather in a relaxed setting, and discuss topics of their own choosing while practicing their English skills.

The Conversation Circles will take place at six locations in the Fort Bend County library system in March. The schedule is as follows:

  • George Memorial Library, Richmond
    • Wednesdays, March 6, 13, 20, and 27; 10:00-11:00 am, Adult Services Learning Lab
    • Tuesdays, March 12 and 26; 6:00-7:00 pm
       
  • First Colony Branch Library
    • Tuesdays, March 5, 12, 19, 26; 1:30-3:00 pm, Meeting Room.
       
  • Mission Bend Branch Library
    • Wednesdays, March 6, 13, 20, 27; 1:30-2:30 pm, Conference Room
       
  • Sugar Land Branch Library
    • Thursdays, March 7, 14, 21, 28; 10:15 am-12:00 noon, Conference Room
       
  • Sienna Branch Library
    • Thursdays, March 7 and 21; 10:30-11:30 am, Conference Room 2A.
       
  • Cinco Ranch Branch Library
    • Fridays, March 8 and 22, 1:00-2:00 pm, Multi-purpose Room.
    • ESL Pictionary – Friday, March 15, 1:00-2:00 pm.
  • Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library
    • Thursday, March 21, 1:00-2:00 pm, Meeting Room. At this “Crafting with Conversation” program, participants may bring their own small craft projects to work on or talk about, if they wish.
