Sheba Akhtar, assistant professor of architecture, will present a fascinating history of Mesopotamia, including the emergence of agriculture in the Fertile Crescent, the Babylonians destruction of Solomon's temple in Jerusalem, and Alexander's defeat of Persia and subsequent burning of Persepolis.

This presentation is the first of a series on Ancient Civilizations.
