What did it take to accomplish this history making mission? Hear an on the scene account from one of the NASA scientists who helped make that dream a reality.
Retired NASA physicist F. Don Cooper shares his experiences in creating the technology to launch Apollo 11 and how his team contributed to bring the Apollo 13 crew safely home in 1970. In the first hour, Mr. Cooper will demonstrate with his Saturn V rocket how we went to the moon and back. Then in the second, hour Mr. Cooper will explain what the guidance equations were, how they were derived, who created them, and how well they worked.
