Description

Reel Talk is a series of documentary screenings at University Branch Library with brief discussions of the films after they are shown.

In January we’re screening Fake Famous: An Unreal Social Experiment, a documentary about three normal people participating in a social experiment to turn them into “famous” social media influencers.  This documentary explores topics such as: fame, social media, identity, mental health, and human connection.  It runs 1 hour and 27 minutes, so discussion will begin at approximately 7:30 PM.  This documentary is not rated; it is intended for mature audiences.  This HBO film is available in FBCL’s Access Video on Demand digital collection, and it is being shown publicly with permission from Infobase.
