Program Description

Description

Reel Talk is a series of documentary screenings at University Branch Library with brief discussions of the films after they are shown.

In July, we’re viewing My Octopus Teacher, a documentary about a filmmaker who develops a relationship with a wild octopus while exploring a kelp forest in South Africa.  This documentary explores the following themes: animal intelligence, the relationship between humans and nature, marine life, mental health, preservation and ecology.  It runs 1 hour and 30 minutes.  No registration required.

Park inside the gated lot (VISITOR LOT 4).  Bring your parking ticket with you inside the library to be validated by library staff.  Parking is FREE if you get your ticket validated.  Parking outside the gated lot may result in a parking violation from the University of Houston.
