Program Description

Description

Reel Talk is a series of documentary screenings at University Branch Library with brief discussions of the films after they are shown. This month, we’re viewing Girl Talk: A Local, USA Special. This documentary tells the story of five girls competing in the cutthroat, male-dominated world of high school debate.  It amplifies the voices of young women in America and provides a glimpse into the lives of the next generation of leaders and changemakers.  It runs 1 hour and 32 minutes.  It is not rated. This film is available in FBCL’s Access Video on Demand digital collection, and is being shown publicly with permission from Infobase.

Park inside the gated lot (VISITOR LOT 4).  Bring your parking ticket with you inside the library to be validated by library staff.  Parking is FREE if you get your ticket validated.  Parking outside the gated lot may result in a parking violation from the University of Houston.
