Creative Connections: Hour of Tech - 3D Print a Backpack Charm
Children in grades 4-8 are invited to learn the basics of 3D printing at the library and create their own backpack charm using TinkerCad. Their design will then be printed on the library’s own 3D printer for pickup in the following week.
Participants will learn step-by-step instructions on how to paint an adorable bumblebee on a canvas. This program is for students entering 6th-8th grades only. Limited seating; registration required.
SRC Family Program: The Aztec Princess
The Aztec Princess, presented by Express Children's Theatre in partnership with Young Audiences of Houston.
Professor Hughdini brings his interactive magic show to the library. This is a family program for all ages. Registration is not required, but seating is limited. We are unable to accommodate daycares and school groups.
Tabletop Society is a board gaming club for adults, college students, and teens. We meet on the 4th Thursday of each month and focus on a different game each time we meet. It’s a great way to try out new games for free.
Young Adult Advisory Council meets monthly to express ideas, organize upcoming teen activities, and suggest new teen programs for the branch. You can earn volunteer hours and help make the library a better place for teens.
