Monetary Donations
Donating money towards a book for the library in someone’s name is a thoughtful gift that honors the person in whose name the purchase is made and also benefits your Fort Bend County Libraries and the community for years to come.
Whether requesting a $25 children’s book, a $35 adult book, a $95 reference book, or audiovisual and electronic materials like CDs, DVDs, eBooks, or recorded books (all ranging in price from $20 to $50), a variety of options are available that will fit your price range. Donations of any amount can also be designated for adult programs, for youth programs, or for a specific collection, such as that in the Genealogy and Local History department.
The donation form can be downloaded here. Checks should be mailed, along with the completed donation form, to the Business Office at Fort Bend County Libraries, 1003 Golfview, Richmond, Texas, 77469.
Once the item is in the library’s collection, a bookplate -- including the name of your recipient -- will be placed in the book in recognition of the person in whose name you made the donation.
The donor may also request to have an acknowledgment card sent on his or her behalf to the person or family for whom the gift is being made. The library will need the address of the honoree or family for this option.
All donations are tax-deductible.
For more information on how you can donate, contact your local library.
