March 2024

In conjunction with Needville’s Citywide Garage Sale, the Friends of the Albert George Branch Library (Needville) will host a Spring Book Sale on Friday, March 15, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm, and on Saturday, March 16, from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, in the Meeting Room of the library.

People who love books, people who love bargains, and people who need to get rid of some spare change will find a lot in common at the book sale, where they will discover adult and children’s books, puzzles, movies, and music, all at prices that are hard to beat. Prices range from 50¢ for paperback books up to $1.00 for hardback books.

The Friends of the Albert George Branch Library organization is instrumental in funding library programs such as the Summer Reading Challenge. Proceeds from the book sale and annual membership dues also help to underwrite the costs of special programming and various cultural events at the Albert George Branch Library.

The Friends of the Albert George Branch Library organization accepts cash for payment; the organization is unable to take checks or credit cards.

Ongoing Book Sales by the Friends of the Library organizations take place at each of the branches during regular business hours. Be sure to ask about them the next time you visit!

Donations of gently used books, DVDs, and CDs are always welcome, and may be taken to the libraries during regular business hours. Click here for a list of what can be accepted and not accepted. The Friends of the Library groups are 501c(3) tax-exempt organizations. All contributions are tax-deductible.
